River Valley Waldorf School is nestled on a serene 7-acre campus in Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania. The property features a blend of open meadows, wooded trails, and thoughtfully cultivated garden spaces, offering children a natural environment in which to learn and grow.
Two main buildings—sunlit and inviting—are filled with natural light, thoughtful design, and student artwork that reflect the learning that happens in each room. Outdoor play areas, a teaching garden, and quiet forest nooks extend the classroom into nature, supporting imaginative play and experiential learning in every season.

River Valley Waldorf School, located at 1395 Bridgeton Hill Rd in Upper Black Eddy, PA, benefits from a truly exceptional setting.
Just 45 miles north of Philadelphia and 58 miles west of New York City, the campus offers a peaceful rural atmosphere with easy access to urban cultural and educational resources. Nestled along the Delaware River and adjacent to the Delaware Canal State Park—with its 60-mile towpath trail—students and families enjoy year-round access to hiking, biking, fishing, and canoeing. The surrounding region also features attractions like Ringing Rocks County Park and Nockamixon State Park just minutes away. The serene forested terrain and scenic river valley create an ideal backdrop for outdoor learning, while well-traveled commuter routes make the school easily accessible from major metropolitan areas.

Every day, students arrive at River Valley Waldorf School from towns across Bucks, Northampton, Lehigh, Montgomery, Hunterdon, and Mercer counties, creating a vibrant and diverse school community rooted in shared values.
Our campus in Upper Black Eddy is ideally situated near the Delaware River, just minutes from the New Jersey border and easily accessible from surrounding areas including Easton, Bethlehem, Doylestown, Quakertown, Lambertville, Flemington, and beyond. Families within a 25-mile radius enjoy the benefits of a peaceful rural setting with convenient access to both local resources and major commuter routes.
Disrict Busing
The Quakertown, Palisades, Pennridge, and Wilson Area School Districts currently provide transportation to and from River Valley Waldorf School.
